Dem beliebtesten schottischen Destillerie-Besucherzentrum, The Famous Grouse Experience bei Crieff, wurde für weitere zwei Jahre vom schottischen Fremdenverkehrsamt VisitScotland der Fünf-Sterne Status bestätigt. Das zu Glenturret, der ältesten noch in Betrieb befindlichen Destillerie Schottlands, gehörende Besucherzentrum, ist eine von nur fünf Touristenattraktionen in der Grafschaft Perthshire, die diese Auszeichnung bekommen haben. Rund 120.000 Besucher zählt man dort pro Jahr.
Five Star Tourist Award for Scotland’s Favourite Whisky
Scotland’s most popular distillery visitor centre, The Famous Grouse Experience at Crieff, has had its five star accreditation renewed for another two years by VisitScotland.
The Experience, located at Scotland’s oldest working distillery, at Glenturret, is one of only five tourist attractions within Perthshire to be awarded this honour.
Indeed, only 63 out of 1,084 attractions in Scotland have achieved the top grade.
Jeremy Speirs, general manager at The Famous Grouse Experience, believes that the accreditation is the direct result of the effectiveness of staff, who strive to give all visitors the „red carpet treatment“.
He said: „To retain the five star status is a fantastic achievement by all employees, who ensure that they provide a first-rate service to visitors.
